Take The Stairs…

25 02 2010

I live at 230 King Street.

My buyer-clients live at 230 King Street.

The condo we were offering on is at 230 King Street.

Last night was quite an adventure.  And apparently there was a hockey game on?

Are You In The Market For A TOWN?

24 02 2010

No, not a townhouse.

An actual town!

Last month, an entire town in the former Soviet Union was sold via auction for over $3 Million US.

What the heck would you do with a whole TOWN?

Happy New Year!

1 01 2010

Thanks for the much needed time off!

I’ll be back with NEW BLOG POSTS - Monday, January 4th.

The fun is over, folks!  Let’s all get back to work!

Merry Christmas!

24 12 2009

Sorry, I don’t believe in “Happy Holidays”…

But while I’m at it, Happy Hanukkah, Amazing Al Hijra & Ashura, Krazy Kwanzaa, and Bad-Ass Bodhi Day!

Thanks to all my readers for their continued support; it’s been an amazing 2009 and I look forward to growing this blog as we move into the next decade.

Making this blog the best real estate blog in the country is a group effort, and I’d like to thank all my frequent commenters: LC, Meh, BobbyV, WEB, DaveyTheJ (you owe me a bottle!), Krupo, Potato, Geoff, PPD, IanC, Fidel (where have you been?), Jess, Aguduser, David Pylyp, Clide, Junk Bug, Frank, Dogbiskit, Chuck Charlton, McBloggert (can you function without Fidel?), Calico Cate, Duncan Scott, Patrick Parkhurst, and of course Earth Mother, who if you haven’t guessed by now is my mommy…

I’m going to try and find some down-time in the next week, so I probably won’t post again till January.  Although if I have any non real estate related thoughts and observations that simply must be shared with the world, then I certainly know where to post them…

Have a safe and happy holiday, everybody!

Let Them Have Their Say!

12 09 2009

I don’t recall a week in which I’ve read so many terrific real estate articles!

Some are opinion pieces, some are fact.

Some I agree with, some I don’t.

So every day this week, I’m going to feature a different real estate article from one our local media outlets, and I’ll include my two cents at the bottom…

Technical Difficulties

29 07 2009

&*%$#!

Did I get hacked?

Is it possible, as crazy as it sounds, that somebody out there doesn’t like me?!?!

Well, I’m on a new server and I have a new team of techno-nerds backing me.

Sorry for the utter gaffuffle, and yes, “gaffufle” is a word.

I’ll be back up to 100% by Thursday with a two-part post Thurs/Fri about the greediest sellers I’ve seen in a long, long time…

Merry Christmas!

24 12 2008

When people first suggested that the term “Merry Christmas” was politically incorrect, and that we should start saying either Happy Holidays or Seasons Greetings, I though that the whole P.C. concept had gone a little far.

I’d like to thank all of my loyal blog readers for their support over the last year, and I look forward to 2009.

I’m going to add a few new features to the Toronto Realty Blog next year, including video blogs, forums, and perhaps a fresh new look.

Seasons Greetings to everybody, and I’ll be back in 2009 with just as much cynicism, sarcasm, and opinionated banter as in 2008!

Theme Week!

30 11 2008

I don’t mean to be a prickly pear, but I’d like to spend this week dwelling on all the people out there just waiting to screw over consumers.

How many companies in the service industry are hatching new schemes to dupe consumers or put them into products that don’t serve their best interests?

From mortgage brokers to banks to credit card companies - I’ll examine them all this week, starting on Monday.
