Liberty Village was originally intended to be more of an “east versus west” idea since the area runs between Strachan and Hanna.
However, the townhouses in and around Liberty Village take on more of a “north versus south” theme since the properties on Laidlaw Street, Joel Shuster Way, and Machells Avenue are being passed off as “Liberty Village.”
But I’m here to tell you that the latter are not true Liberty Village townhouses…
The response to last Friday’s post about Fashion House Condominium was overwhelming. And it was ironic to see that one of my readers commented that she had actually purchased a unit I was looking at, and then rescinded her offer.
I’ve also decided to pass on the project, but it has less to do with the project and more to do with the area…
No, I don’t mean that cheesy teen move with Mandy Moore. I liked her better in Entourage anyhow.
I mean my three-block trek from my condo last night to the local Dollorama which saw me walk from a neighbourhood with prime real estate into a drug-infested ghetto…

I’m sure many buyers wouldn’t like to be living in a building lumped in the “OTHER” category, but as I said yesterday - this isn’t necessarily an indication of the building’s worth.
Here are seven more condos in the St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood that for various reasons aren’t nearly as popular as the condos I wrote about yesterday.
Some of these only have 1-2 units come up for sale in a year, while some have dozens for sale but just aren’t as nice a locale to call “Home”…
A lot of people have been asking me if I know anything about the thirty acres of vacant land that STILL sits undeveloped at the base of the Bayview Extension.
I had been planning to write about the development, and then along came this article from The Globe And Mail.
Again, call me biased because I happen to live in the area, but I think that the St. Lawrence Market neighborhood is the best area in which to live, in the entire downtown core!
This past weekend played host to Buskerfest, and I took a few choice photos that I’d like to share…
