What a difference a year can make!
At this time last year, I was renting units in this building for $1300/month.
Now, this 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom unit is priced at over $400K, with a holdback on offers.
Is that a product of the hot market, or a hot area…..or both?
Or should I say, prime Cabbagetown.
One of the main draws to living in this area is proximity to the park. And this house on Wellesley is as close as you can possibly get…
Something fishy is going on here!
I just took a client of mine to see this really great unit at 15 Stafford Street.
I get back to the office, and another unit—exact same model, has been listed today.
Coincidence? Nope. Just smart, shrewd, and crude sales tactics…
I thought this listing was a joke for two reasons:
1) It’s the ugliest house I’ve ever seen.
2) It’s a HOUSE, it’s in Toronto, and it’s priced at $249,000…
I don’t know whether to call this listing “refreshing” or “disturbing.”
It’s refreshing to see some value in a unit that is priced right, and offering one-of-a-kind charm.
It’s disturbing to think of all the cookie-cutter condos that sell every day at high prices while this unit sits on the market…
Four things to consider about this house:
1) It is priced at $549,000.
2) It will sell for significantly more than that.
3) It needs $150,000 worth of work.
4) It is an excellent investment…
It’s just your standard house….er….mansion….er….estate…
I guess I could be persuaded to live here, if the mood struck me.
This $5,850,000 house in Vaughan, Ontario would easily be listed over $10,000,000 if there were anything like it in Toronto.
I never thought I’d see the day when I say that $339,000 is “dirt cheap.”
But the reality is, buying a house for under $350,000 today in the City of Toronto is much easier said than done.
These properties DO exist, but usually they need a ton of work, are in a less than desirable area, or have other one, two, or ten other drawbacks…
Well, the equity markets may have been volatile over the past couple days, but the real estate market just keeps chugging along!
Today, two identical houses came onto the market priced at $1,395,000 each.
The catch?
This used to be one house, priced at $979,000…
