I could be talking about the girl that got away, or maybe the chance of a lifetime. Perhaps it’s the job or maybe even the really big fish that I had on my line but I tried to reel it in too fast and it got away.
But this is a real estate blog, so alas, I’m talking about the perfect condo which I let slide.
I wonder if I’ll live to regret my decision…

Hmmm….yes…speaking of which…
You won’t believe the lengths that a Torontonian motivational speaker went to in order to find new clients.
This ties in very well with an article I had written two weeks ago about an under-listed property. Now we know the true story behind it…

Quiz Show!
I’m going to present three options for properties that have sold in the past few weeks for $583,000.
I’d like you to tell me which one stands out from the rest…

No, I don’t mean that awful movie with Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughan - the one that was supposed to be amazing but resulted in me lasting only twenty minutes before I changed the channel…
I mean the disastrous break-up between two condo-owners that netted them a massive, and somewhat unexpected financial loss.
I’m no marriage counselor, nor am I the authority figure on relationships, but I’ve always maintained “Don’t buy a property together until you’re good and ready!”

This is a follow-up on two posts I wrote over a year ago.
I’d like to point out how NOT to sell your property, by giving you an update on these two sad sellers who I had already dissed in 2008, but deserve it again as they both STILL try to sell their properties in late 2009!
I make fun, because - I can…

Today I’d like to finish this installment with a look at some of the oldest, most obscure, or pre-construction condos in the St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood.
How about a building that is thirty years old? What about a condominium that most people walk by without knowing it’s there? And what is happening with new developments like Vu and King East Lofts?

I’m sure many buyers wouldn’t like to be living in a building lumped in the “OTHER” category, but as I said yesterday - this isn’t necessarily an indication of the building’s worth.
Here are seven more condos in the St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood that for various reasons aren’t nearly as popular as the condos I wrote about yesterday.
Some of these only have 1-2 units come up for sale in a year, while some have dozens for sale but just aren’t as nice a locale to call “Home”…

People constantly tell me that I spell “neighbor” wrong since I use the American spelling with no “u.”
I’ve also been told that I have NEVER written a dedicated post about the condos that exist specifically in the St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood.
I’m going to change both of those things today…

No, I’m not talking about that silly reality television show that for some reason is still on TV…
I’m talking about the 2010 Municipal election which will hopefully pit George Smitherman against John Tory.
Nothing says “Friday” like a good political debate!

I’d hate to disagree with The Donald, since he is clearly an astute real estate investor and wig-wearer, but I’m on pins and needles as I wait to see what happens with this downtown condo which is holding back offers for……wait for it….twenty-four days!
That’s over exposure in my mind, and I have a few thoughts on how this will negatively affect the condo’s sale price…
